STATEMENT FROM INTUIT MERCHANT SERVICES TO PREMIER RESELLERS


 

NEW! Gift Card Account Process Change for POS Customers – Previously, POS Payments customers were able to carry their existing Gift Card account over to a new merchant account and continue using it. This process has been updated, so please see below changes for both existing and new POS Payments customers regarding their Gift Card Accounts:

• Existing POS Payment customers:
o If your customer needs a new Payments account to update them to the new POS Payments rates, or because they are on an older Payment account with an MID starting with 5247712 or 4266, they will also need to sign up for a new Gift Card account for each MID they have here – https://giftcardsignup.payments.intuit.com/

• New POS Payment customers:
o Once your customer has been approved for a new POS Payments account, they will need to sign up for a new Gift Card account for each MID here – https://giftcardsignup.payments.intuit.com/
In addition, existing Gift Card customers can now reorder gift cards by going to – https://giftcard.innovativemerchant.com/

  •  Once the approval email is sent, a CSR Change Form must also be sent.  This will then update in Oasis.
     

Reordering Cards

  1. Same exact cards as before
    • Use same mockup (If the merchant no longer has mockup form, the Customer Service rep will email (Internal Email) psdgiftcard_@intuit.com  with Gift Card account # and the email address where to send mockup.)
       
  2. Different design wanted
    •   Merchant will place brand new order online. Follow Ordering Cards instructions above.

 Customizable Text on Cards

  • Merchants can add customizable text on our pre-designed cards. The merchant’s DBA will be on the front of the card up to a total of 25 characters and the merchant can add three lines of customized text on the back of the card up to 40 characters for each line (including spaces).
     

Shipping Timeframe

  • All orders, from the date the Mockup is approved will ship in approximately 3-4 weeks. There is no expediting of Gift Card orders.
  • All orders are shipped UPS Ground Delivery which takes 3-5 Business Days. Overnight deliveries will be at merchant’s expense; check with Gift Card Dept for Overnight Cost.
     

MultiStore/Adding New Gift Card Locations

  • Provide merchant with the Gift Card MultiStore Addendum form (attachment below). Completed forms are to be faxed directly to Gift Card Dept.
  • Merchant can have up to 10 locations (all under same ownership), while only paying 1 monthly service fee on the primary Gift Card account.
  • Once all additional accounts are approved, we set up the Gift Cards so they work at each location, which takes approximately 3-5 business days.
  • To begin processing cards, merchant must set up the workstations of each location with the Gift Card account number that belongs to that store location.
     

How to enable Gift Card Service in POS v 12.0 and below (once cards arrive)

  1. Merchant must have an active Intuit Merchant Service Account to accept gift cards.
  2. Using the Menu option in POS, go to Edit > Preferences > Company  and select Merchant & Gift Services.
  3. Enter the six-digit Gift Card Service Account Number in the field under Gift Card Service.
  4. Save changes.

How to enable Gift Card Service in POS 2013 (once cards arrive)

  1. Merchant must have an active Intuit Merchant Service Account to accept giftcards.
  2. To activate the Gift Card option in POS 2013, go to File and select Setup Interview.
  3. Click the Gift Cards tab in the top of the window.
  4. Click the Yes radio button under "Would you like to accept gift cards?"
  5. Enter the Gift Card account number and click Verify.
  6. Click Done.

 Cancellations 

  • Procedure:
    1. Transfer Gift Card merchant to Retention at internal extension 61316.
    2. If the merchant wants to fax or email a closure letter to us they would email it to imsoasisretention@intuit.com or fax it to 866-390-0010.

  

  • Additional Details:

There are no fees involved with closing or canceling a QB Point of Sale or Terminal Gift Card account.

One-Time Setup Fee (for current QuickBooks POS Merchant Service customers): Waived

Monthly Fee: $24.95

Monthly fee (for current QuickBooks POS Merchant Service customers): $14.95

Transaction Fees: First 100 transactions per month are free, thereafter $0.20 per transaction

Important disclosures
1  It takes approximately 3–4 weeks from the date of artwork approval for your gift card to ship. Between October and December, due to the high demand for the holiday season, not all orders may be expedited and delivery times may vary.
2  The monthly fee is reduced if the QuickBooks® Point of Sale Merchant Service and QuickBooks® Point of Sale Gift Card Service are used together. The setup fee is waived when they are purchased at the same time.

Pricing for gift cards listed above reflect Ready-made and Custom gift cards with one envelope per card ordered. No additional setup or plate fees required. It does not include applicable local, state, or federal taxes. Shipping and handling charges are additional.
